Rescheduling and Cancellations

    Appointment times are scheduled specifically for our patients such that the appropriate allotted time is dedicated to addressing their specific needs and care. 

    When patients cancel or reschedule their appointments with less than 24 hours' notice or do not arrive for their appointment altogether, their is little opportunity to give that empty slot to another patient in need.  This time has been carved out within the daily schedule specifically for that particular patient.  Moving forward, our office can no longer assume the financial loss this causes or deny other patients the availability of that non-used time slot. 

    It is our policy to now charge patients for late cancellations or late reschedules (less than 24 hours notice) or for no-shows (not arriving for their scheduled appointment and not calling accordingly to cancel or reschedule.)  The fee to be charged to the patient is dependent upon the type of appointment scheduled.

Fees are as follows:

    We understand there will be the occasional time when a late cancellation or reschedule cannot be helped or a forgotten appointment transpires and we are willing to waive the first occurrence as a courtesy.  If a pattern has developed, however, and multiple occurrences are evident, dismissal from the practice may be considered.
